Tea Partier Calls Elizabeth Warren A ‘Socialist Whore’ During Speech

Nov 03 2011 Published by under Uncategorized

Just moments into Senate Candidate Elizabeth Warren’s speech to a room full of volunteers in Boston, Massachusetts an elderly Tea Party supporter made the unwarranted decision to tell the hopeful Senator that she ‘whored herself out to the Occupy Wall Street movement’.

According to Huffpo, although how they deciphered this man’s Tea Party-talk I have no idea, he hurled a gender-based epithet at Ms. Warren.

Graceful as always Warren urged the man to continue in spite of the crowd requesting he sit down.

The man stated that he’d been unemployed since February 2010 and objected of Warren’s support of the OWS movement while arguing that the Tea Party has been protesting Wall Street for far longer than the recent protesters. At this point, she could have thanked him for proving there is a distinct commonality with all parties and the movement’s concerns — however, she remained receptive to him while her manner radiated the patience of Job.

Watch:

Warren said:

“I’ve been protesting what’s been going on on Wall Street for a very long time,” she said, but added that the movement has its own independent agenda and will proceed along its own course.”

Elizabeth Warren remains popular with progressives because of her candor and style. She reflects this demeanor in her handling of this unusual situation while the crowed acquiesced to her request to hear him out.

Instead of exacerbating the angst in the room, she stated:

“I’m not angry with him, but he didn’t come up with the idea that his biggest problem was Occupy Wall Street. There’s someone else pre-packaging that poison — and that’s who makes me angry.”

The GOP phenomenon of deeming all legislation and thoughts by Democrats as Socialism is indeed, ‘poisoning the well.’ While the Republican mouthpieces, aka: Fox News, Rush Limbaugh et al, whose hosts take in millions per year for an undeserved salary, whose job description is all too obviously to promote propaganda while deserting the best interests of America and their own political base as well, is ‘poisoning the well’.

According to a recent Suffolk University poll, the majority of Americans believe the GOP is sabotaging President Obama so he will not get reelected. I would say that concerns our best interests:

“With 51 percent of voters saying that jobs and the economy are the most pressing issues in the nation today, 49 percent said they believe that the Republicans are intentionally hindering efforts to boost the economy so that President Barack Obama will not be reelected. Thirty-nine percent disagreed. As expected, most registered Democrats (70 percent) agreed that Republicans are intentionally hindering the economy and hurting Obama, but Independents (52 percent) and even some Republicans (24 percent) also agreed.

Charity begins at home,” said Paleologos. “Voters are saying they don’t want money going overseas until the United States takes care of itself first.”

(my emphasis)

Who saw this coming? Over half of us were privy to the Republicans’ agenda and they have made it all too obvious. The right wing criticism Elizabeth Warren is their inherent distaste for passionate, intellectual women. That too, is so very transparent.
