mAlice in Wonderland: A Tea Party Fable

Imagine Michele Bachmann as the Mad Hatter, Ronald Reagan wowing the Court as the King of Hearts, Andrew Breitbart as a metaphorically challenged phallic symbol who plays The Caterpillar…..

Oh, you already were? Well, then, you might really enjoy ““mAlice In Wonderland – A Tea Party Fable.” Whilst I am sure you are thinking that you are most surely not enjoying Malice In America, brought to you by the Tea Party Bircher Koch Brothers, calm yourself, this is a different beast. This is a satirical fable to delight the informed and indoctrinate the young with the truth before Fox News has a chance to reach them with their Fear & Doom.

The graphic artist and satirical writing team of Julie Sigwart and Micheal Stinson, creators of “Going Rouge: The Sarah Palin Rogue Coloring & Activity Book,” are bringing another dollop of joy into the lives of despairing Americans….This time, they rewrote the Lewis Carroll Victorian classic “Alice in Wonderland”, and recast beloved Wonderland characters to reflect the current crew of Tea Party sympathizers, media, and politicians who seem to have gone Madder than Glenn Beck, the Match Hare.

Curiously enough, the authors say they fit like a glove. Alice stars as an “Independent Voter” who must somehow navigate this bizarro world populated by Tea Party crazies, Ann Coulter stars as The Duchess, but they don’t forget Sarah Palin: whom they’ve crowned as none other than the Queen of Hearts. Keith Olbermann appears as the “Keithshire Cat,” and cable media scribes Wolf Blitzer, Greta Van Susteren, and Bill O’Reilly, along with a cast of dozens of well known political celebrities make their appearance in “mAlice in Wonderland”.

Husband and wife team (and liberal activists and co-founders of the website Take Back the Media) Julie and Michael updated the wonderful poetry in the original Wonderland to reflect our modern times, the madness of the media, and of course, the Tea Party.

A tidbit:

Alice follows a billowing cloud of money trailed by the Very White SuperPAC Rabbit (Karl Rove), down the Media Rabbit Hole, where information, or lack of it, makes her larger or smaller, only to shrink while viewing the Queen of Hearts speech, so she’s unable to hack her way via the netbook behind the curtain into the beautiful garden. She begs the sneaky White Rabbit for help, but he only turns his back to her and straps a bugging device on his own leg before slipping a folder titled PLAYBOOK onto the crystal table, as if for her to Discover, before scurrying away. She feels helpless, left to cry like that John Boehner (The Mock Turtle) when he accepted his clown hammer gavel, and so small she’s nearly drowning, swimming for her life.

The book is available for pre-order right now, and early orders will get a free copy of Going Rouge: The Sarah Palin Rogue Coloring & Activity Book.

Just in time for early holiday shopping. Save America! Read the Tea Party fable to your children and stock your local library with it in the name of freedom!
